♥ A helicopter ride to a private beach where they have a picnic.
Chelsea's Gift to Matt: A California survival kit - Cereal, because she wants to have breakfast in bed with him; Surf Wax, because she wants to teach him how to surf; and a Map, because she wants to do lots of traveling with him.
Matt's Reaction: Privately, he says that she's got everything he's looking for and he loves the energy and excitement with her.
♥ They spend the day parasailing.
Shayne's Gift to Matt: A stuffed monkey she bought in London and what she calls "the most important gift you will ever receive in our entire relationship," a photo of Shayne on the beach writing "I love you" in the sand.
Matt's Reaction: He says she's the warmest, kindest person he's ever met and believes that she brings out the warmth in him.
Chelsea is the first to arrive to meet Matt. She's wearing a flowing, jeweled-halter-top dress and her hair is up. She's hoping that he chooses her, and even more, that he'll propose.
Matt kisses her hello and says he thinks this is his favorite dress of hers yet. He takes her by the hands and tells her that he fell for her a long time ago, starting in Vegas. He thanks her for all the amazing times they've shared. He takes a deep breath before telling her that he doesn't see her as his life partner, partly because it's been a rocky road for them. "I'm sorry you're not the one, because you're incredible," he says as she fights back tears.
She takes back her hands and tells him she doesn't have any regrets. She can't believe, though, that she's fallen for someone who didn't fall for her. She tells him that because it took her longer to open up to him, that meant she was being completely sincere. He insists that it's been the hardest decision of his life and leads her by the hand towards the limo.
She shakes her head, still not believing that he told her how much he cared for her when he was really more in love with someone else. They share a goodbye hug and he tells her to take care.
Inside the limo, she lets the tears come finally. She says her relationships have been letdown after letdown and that she still doesn't understand what happened. "He's a fool, he is a fool," she says as the limo leaves.
He waits for Shayne, saying in voiceover that she's "captured" him in a way that no one ever has before and that he's confident she'll always be there for him.
She arrives in a pale yellow short, strapless dress. She says she's feeling nervous and excited at the same time and that if she loses him she will be heartbroken.
He kisses her hello and takes her hands in his. He says he remembers being impressed by her "million-dollar smile" and that at first she seemed too good to be true. He thanks her for all the good times, including monkey, and says he came here not just for the six weeks, but to find someone to spend the rest of his life with. She gasps as he gets down on his knees and nearly falls over as he asks her to marry him. "Shayne Lamas, I love you," he says and shows her the ring. "Monkey, will you marry me?"
"Oh my God, yes!" she says and throws her arms around his neck. "I will marry you under one condition," she says, "that you never look at another woman for the rest of our lives. Because you have looked at far too many during our relationship." He agrees and they kiss.
"There is one last thing," he says and offers her the final rose. They kiss as the sun sets and he says he's "over the moon," as she shows off her ring to the camera and says it's the happiest day of her life. "I'm in love and he loves me," she shouts happily.
